Chocolate Buttersweets

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1 /4 c. all purpose flour
Creamy nut filling:
3 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sifted confectioners sugar
2 Tbs. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. flaked coconut

Cream butter & add sugar, vanilla & salt. Mix well. Gradually blend in flour. Shape by tsp. into balls. Press a hole into center of each & bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until delicately browned. While they are baking, prepare filling. Soften cream cheese & blend in confectioner's sugar, flour & vanilla. Cream well. Stir in walnuts & coconut. While cookies are still warm, fill hole with filling. Cool & frost with Chocolate Frosting. Chocolate Frosting: Melt 1/2 c semisweet chocolate morsels with 2 Tbs. water & 2 Tbs. butter. Melt over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar & heat until smooth.
