Milky Way Cake

8 2.15 oz. Milky Way bars
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsps. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 2.15 oz. Milky Way bars
6 Tbs. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Milk as needed to thin frosting

Preheat oven to 350. Grease & flour a 12 c. bundt or 10" tube pan. Melt 8 candy bars along with butter over low heat. Set aside. Cream sugar with remaining butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour & soda & add alternately to batter with buttermilk, beginning & ending with flour mixture. Stir in melted candy bar mixture, vanilla & nuts. Fold into prepared pan & bake about an hour. For the frosting, melt 3 candy bars & butter. Add vanilla & sugar. Add milk as needed to thin to spreading consistency. Ice cake.
