Spiced Walnuts

2 cups walnut or pecan halves
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons butter

Place nuts in a 4-quart microwavable baking dish. Microwave on high until nuts are toasted (5 to 7 minutes), stirring twice and watching to prevent overbrowning. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and cloves
set aside. Stir butter into hot walnuts
toss until butter is melted and nuts are evenly coated. Add spice mixture
toss to coat all nuts. Turn coated nuts out onto waxed paper
let cool completely. Store in tightly covered container. Per serving: 58 calories (percent of calories from fat, 78), 2 grams protein, 2 grams carbohydrates, less than 1 gram fiber, 5 grams fat, 1 milligram cholesterol, 6 milligrams sodium.
