Pasta Bolognese

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped red onion
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 medium green peppers, in strips 16 oz. pasta
2 medium red peppers, in strips
2 garlic cloves, minced
2/3 c. finely chopped basil
1/2 c. finely chopped parsley
28 oz. whole peeled tomatoes
16 oz. tomato sauce

Partially brown beef in skillet
add onion and cook until tender. Add peppers, cook 3 minutes. Add garlic, saute 30 seconds.Add basil, parsley, tomatoes, sauce and seasonings. Boil then simmer 20-25 minutes. Cook pasta, drain. Serve sauce over pasta. Makes about 7 cups sauce or 8 servings.
