1 large sweet onion
3 Tbs. butter
3 c. finely shredded cabbage
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 c. wide egg noodles
Few drops red wine vinegar
Peel & thinly slice onion (about 4 c.). Melt butter in a large skillet. Stir in onion, cabbage, sugar, salt & pepper. Cook over low heat until onion & cabbage soften (15-20 minutes). Cook noodles, drain, sprinkle with vinegar. Add noodles to skillet. Continue to cook, stirring until heated through.
