Cheese Fondue with Veggies

1 loaf crusty bread
1 red bell pepper
1 bunch broccoli
1 lb. Gruyere cheese
1 Tb. flour
1 tsp. thyme
Salt & pepepr
1 clove garlic
2 c. white wine

Cut bread into cubes, leaving some crust on each piece. Cut pepper into bite-size pieces. Cut off broccoli stems & cut tops into small florets. Grate cheese & toss with flour, thyme, 1/2 tsp. salt & 1/2 tsp. pepper. Crush garlic. Put wine & garlic in fondue pot & heat over low heat just to the brink of a boil. Remove garlic. Add cheese in handfuls, stirring constatnly with a fork. Let cheese melt completely between additions. continue stirring until smooth. Serve fondue with vegetables & bread.
