Walnut Crescents

1 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsps. water
2 tsps. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped black walnuts
Powdered sugar

Cream softened butter, add sugar & cream well. Add water, vanilla, then flour & nuts. Mix well. Chill 3-4 hours. Form dough in long rolls 1/2" across. Cut in 3" lengths & shape in crescent shape. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 for 15 minutes. Do not brown. Remove, cool slightly & dip in powdered sugar. Makes 3 dozen.
