1 broiler fryer chicken, cut in parts
1 small onion, grated
8 oz. Spanish style tomato sauce
4 oz. taco sauce
1/4 c. molasses
2 Tbs. vinegar
1 Tb. cooking oil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. pepper

Make sauce by mixing together onion, tomato sauce, taco sauce, molasses, vinegar, oil, salt, oregano & pepper. Bring to a boil in a small saucepan. Place chicken which has been rinsed & patted dry in large bowl
add sauce (reserve enough sauce to baste chicken on the grill). Marinate in refrigerator overnight. When ready to cook, drain excess sauce. Place chicken on grill, skin side up, about 8" from heat, & cook, turning every 10 minutes to brown evenly-for about 50 minutes or until fork can be inserted in chicken with ease. Brush with reserved sauce during last 15 minutes of cooking time. When chicken is done, place on serving platter. Cover & chill. Makes 4 servings.
