Cocoa Bundt Cake

1 2/3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsps. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Chocolate Glaze:
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350. Generously grease & flour 12 cup Bundt pan. In large mixer bowl blend flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder & salt
add remaining ingredients. Beat on low speed 1 minute, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on high speed 3 minutes, scraping occasionally. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 50-55 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 mins
remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely. Drizzle with chocolate glaze. 12-16 servings. To make Chocolate Glaze: In small saucepan bring sugar & water to rolling boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved
remove from heat. Immediately add chocolate chips
stir with wire whisk until chips are melted & mixture is smooth. Cool until slightly thickened. Makes about 2/3 c glaze.
