A Marsian Watch

This article is about NASA ordering special mechanical watches to be used by the team working with the rovers. Everything they do now is tied to a Marsian day, which has 39 more minutes than ours.

It's interesting that you found this article interesting enuf to put on your blog site. How did you come across it? I just remember your room downstairs with a million parts coming from watches? radios? and ??? that you had taken apart to see how they worked. Then, I guess you didn't care to try to put them back together. It's good you did not work on the Mars watches.

It seems like it would be easy enough to change the frequency of the pendulum by using a heavier wheel. It might be even easier with some of the antique pendulum wall clocks.

But also I bet it would be pretty easy to program a Palm to show you the correct Mars time which would be almost as good as a wrist watch.
