Merlin is an IBM Netfinity 3000 Type 8476-31U SN 23FK107.
Two SCSI Drives (0) and (1) are in the back bays 5 and 6.
Target bay 2 for third drive.
IBM 10/100 Ethernet PCI Adapter 100Base-TX, 10 Base T.
Used Ctrl A at boot up to access Adaptec SCSI Select Utility.
Available IDs: 2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15.
7 is taken by AHA-2940 Ultra/Ultra W controller.
8 - 15 are external SCSI.

    Jumper settings
    1 spare (50 pin) ID BIT 3 (for wide) - open
    2 id for bit 2 - open
    3 id for bit 1 - closed (to set SCSI 2)
    4 id bit for 0 - open
    5 enable auto spin - closed
    6 SCSI Term on - open (not at end of chain)
    7 Disable Unit Attn - open
    8 TI Sync Negro - Open
    9 Auto Start Delay - open
    10 Delay Start 6/12 - open
    11 Disable Parity - open
    12 LED out - open

Per manual: "The SCSI Cable provides termination."

Bay 2 has 3.5 inch conversion kit pre-installed.
Removed 2 screws holding conversion kit in place.
Slid out front.

Disk 1: Vol C: Boot/OS 2 GIG FAT (WIN2K)
Disk 1: Vol D: APP: 6 GIG NTFS (NOTES/DOMINO/ETC)
Disk 2: Vol J: DATA 8.5 GIG NTFS MIRROR (NOTES/DATA, DOMINO/DATA)
Disk 3: Vol J: (Mirror)

Ctr-A at Boot to Adaptec AHA-2940 Ultra/Ultra W utility. Low Level format disk 1.

Make Win 2k Boot disks using CD:\bootdisk\makeboot.exe
Used Win 2K to create 2047 MB C: partition
Chose FAT option.
Admin hh+les mis

Formatted Disk 1 C: as 2 GIG FAT. Installed WIN2K Server.
Formatted Disk 1 D: as 6 GIG NTFS
Formatted Disk 2 J: 8.5 GIG NTFS w/ Disk 3 as mirror

Installed PCAnywhere 9.2 w/ LiveUpdate. Set to run as service. Access is Windows Administrator Group.

Renamed Administrator to the DNU.
