The interior of Kilmainham Jail. This wing was built during Victorian times, allows in plenty of light and was where the leaders of the Easter Rebellion of 1916 were held until they were all executed a week or so later.

All of the cells at Kilmainham Jail were meant for solitary confinement with a peephole in the door so guards could check on the prisoners.

This is the James Joyce Bridge designed by Santiago Calatrava, one of the most famous structural architects around today. This is the first time I have seen one of his bridges in person. Part of the deck of the pedestrian side is translucent glass.

This is an arcade at one end of St. Patrick's Cathedral Park, not far from the hotel. Each alcove is a tribute to some famous Irish person.

The choir singing at a church in Rathfarnum, just South of Dublin. They did a benefit concert with proceeds benefitting an old folks home in Dublin and another in Sri Lanka.
