My friend Julie invited me into Gmail a couple of months ago and I finally signed up. In case you didn't know, Gmail is google's beta email service that offers over 2.5 gigs of free space. The only way to get it is to be invited by a current Gmail account holder. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep my old email adress or discard it entirely, but my new address is eric...@gmail.com.

Kelly and I moved to gmail about a month ago. I like it a lot. My @fiveforks.com e-mail really just goes immediately to my gmail account. You may want to go change the content of this post and disguise your e-mail address from spam robots. You can say it this way: My new e-mail address is ericetten---- at gmail dot com. And you can see I'm advocating not posting your last name anywhere on these blogs.

Outlook is helpful with spell checking etc, but gmail has introduced a new "conversation" and "search" paradigm. You don't use folders you just search for old e-mail. And e-mails become "conversations" which take a bit getting used to, but are really a superior way to manage mail.
