On friday I went to see the spongebob movie with some friends from school. It was a bit of a disapointment, many showings of cartoon nudity and pure ridiculousness. The show itself is ridiculous, but this went over the edge. I was almost positive I heard at least two swear words. I wouldn't recommend it. Yesterday night we rented Catch that Kid. It was incredibly impossible, and just dumb. The father of the main charecter cant walk because of an unknown illness that can only be treated by an experemental sugery in denmark that costs 250,000 dollars. Of course, the evil insurance company won't cover it and the kids have to steal the money from the bank the main charecters mom worked for installing a security system. It is justified because the head of the bank is a jerk. Incredibly, the bank has only two guards, and the kids easily evade the police in go carts. It ends up being O.K. because the mother claims that her constract states she can preform undisclosed tests, and the kids robbing the bank was a test. The give the money back, but because of the T.V. publicity people show up at the main charecter's go cart track in a way reminicant of Field of Dreams. It was a low intellegance kids spy movie that I definintly wouldn't reccomend.

I agree that it was 1) a ridiculous plot and 2) excused all kinds of illegal, immoral, and unethical behavior. It even started with the very first scene when the girl fell from the water tower when the faulty ladder miraculously stopped being faulty at the last second. She should have gone "splat" and it would have put an early end to the whole thing.

I know, Catch that kid is one of the dumbest movies. It is not that great at all. I still would like to see the sponge bob movie considering the fact that sponge bob is almost always crazy. that is why I like it, it makes no sense. It got a B in its ratings though! pretty good if you ask me. The Incredibles got an A-. Sponge Bob is PG for some mild crude humor apparently, although there almost always is on the show!
