My Eye Adventure

About a week and a half ago i got an internal hordelum (stye) in my left eye. I had one a few weeks before that and thought it wasnt a big deal. A stye is a pimple like infection on the inside of your eyelid and really hurts (see pictures)

these pictures show a mild stye. this was what i had a first, but it became seriously infcted and began to puff up.
the stye enlarged and we went to the pediatric place. Nurse Snow ( he's nice) told us it was an enlarged stye, and perscribed some antibiotics after consulting another doctor. i took the antibiotics but my eye got worse. we went by the pediatric place again ( it was 9:00 and Nurse Snow was the only one there) he told us to go to the ER. so we went at about 9:30. We waited in the ER for about 30 miniutes before they gave us a room. We got to wait some more in this little room in the pediatric area. it had a TV so we could at least watch somthing. After about an hour of waiting this doctor guy this lady came in and asked some questions ( i cant remeber all of this clearly) and said i needed a cat (cat?) scan and some antibiotics. So he left and another lady came in (the head doctor person) after a long time and said it was ok to get a cat scan and some of those antibiotics. unfortunatly the machine was broken so we'd have to wait 3 hours, it was about 10:30. After an hour this older woman with a cane came in to take some blood. she put this tube and needle in, and after getting blood all over the place she left the tube in my hand and left the room. it didnt hurt much, but it was sooooo annyoying having a tube shoved into your vein for several hours. We watched the late show and sat around untill the cat scanner thing was ready. so this nurse came in and put me in a wheel chair, even though i was perfectly capable of walking. she pushed me to the cat scanner machine thingy room. It was this big cicular thing that was purple and looked like something from Stargate: SG-1. Mom gave me a silly look like she was afraid. they laid me on this bed that
was way more comfortable then the hospital bed and even had a paded head holder and a blanket, they probably protected me from radiation or gamma rays or something like that. so this giant bed thing slid into the the stargate part of the machine. it wasnt very event full untill it started to spin. this metal ring spun really fast around me JUST like the stargate show. they injected this tuff through that tube that was still in my hand. it made me feel all warm. so then the thing stopped spinning and they let me out. the lady put me in the wheelchair even though i was still perfectly capable of walking. we came back to the little hospital room and tried to sleep (poor mom didnt get any sleep) after ANOTHER hour they came in and said i was fine and hooked me up to a machine for the antibiotics. after that all we had to do was sign some papers; it was 2:00. So we waited for the papers and that darned needle was STILL in my hand. the same docter man talked to us for a while and i asked him if he could take it out. he didnt know how, but he ripped off the tape and took it off anyway.
We finally got the papers and left. i said thank you to myself because there was no one to say thank you to. We left, and i still had a puffed up eye, but its starting to go away now. Thank you hospital people, i salute you.
